The Game I will be talking about today is called "Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3.". This game is made by Cyberconnect 2, and Bandai. You may already know this series as the "Ultimate Ninja" series. Well this is the third installment in it.
Ok so the game has a roster of about 42 characters:
Naruto Uzumaki (Kyubi Naruto)
Sakura Haruno
Sasuke Uchiha (Curse seal level 1 & 2)
Kakashi Hatake
Shino Aburame
Hinata Hyuga (Awakened)
Kiba Inuzuka
Neji Hyuga
Rock Lee (Drunken Rock Lee)
Tenten
Shikamaru Nara
Ino Yamanaka
Choji Akimichi (Butterfly Choji)
Gaara (Half-Shukaku Gaara)
Kankuro
Temari
Full character select screen (Yellow Flash (Fourth Hokage) and Hanabi Hyuga shown)
Tsunade
Jiraiya
Orochimaru
Tayuya (Cursed Seal Level 2 Tayuya) *
Sakon/Ukon (Cursed Seal Level 2 Sakon/Ukon) *
Kidomaru (Cursed Seal Level 2 Kidomaru) *
Jirobo (Cursed Seal Level 2 Jirobo) *
Kimimaro Kaguya (Cursed Seal Level 2 Kimimaro) *
Kabuto Yakushi
Itachi Uchiha
Kisame Hoshigaki
Zabuza Momochi
Haku
Anko Mitarashi *
Might Guy
Konoha no Aoi Mouju Uzumaki Naruto (Green Beast of Konoha Naruto Uzumaki)
Kurenai Yuhi *
Asuma Sarutobi *
Konohamaru *
Hanabi Hyuga *
Shizune
ANBU Kakashi
First Hokage *
Second Hokage *
Third Hokage
Yellow Flash (Fourth Hokage) *
The combat has been improved upon since the last two which makes for a very engaging battle between either you and the computer, or a friend. The learning curve is about 1 hour or 30 minutes to get all of the Kawamiri(replacements), and combos down, and once you do you will be hooked to this game.
Unlike its rival the games story spans from the very first arc in the series all the way to the very end. It also has an RPG mode where you can explore all of Konoha, and do various missions to help unlock characters, special attacks etc. This is the most un-user friendly part of the game though(Very heavy on japanese).
The Graphics for this game are just breath taking for a PS2 game. The levels look beautiful, and the character models change with each level. What I mean by this is that is that if you are playing on the Battle Bridge then the clothes of your character will look darker, because of the way the sun is positioned.
Anyway I love this game, and I can't wait until I get my hands on Narutimate Accel. When I do I will be sure to post my thoughts on it.
Replayability: 9
Graphics: 9
Story: 8
Sound: 9
RPG Mode: 7
Overall: 8.8(rounds up to a 9 i guess)
